THE OUTER LIMITS

As I stagger up the stairs, they scream and yell at me from comfortable chairs

And I hate to seem impolite but I honestly think they could talk all fucking night

I take this headache as a sign I take back this roof and I take all this wine

and I’ll take your hand if you take mine cause I need you tonight

cause you were made for this

yes you were made for this

give me your brand new shining eyes to kiss

here in the outer limits

I ask the roof for words of size, I ask you for the look of sunrise in your eyes

turn your face to the night, where the constellations never take us by surprise

the sound of starlight fills our ears, under a full moon, over a couple beers

but we needent hold ourselves here, cause it’s not as bad as you fear

and you were made for this

yes you were made for this

give me your brand new shining eyes to kiss

here in the outer limits

Now that I have you alone, tell me again why you ain’t going home

Cause you need self respect and I need a loan

and I’d hate to see you just become another poem again

cause baby this will never end

I like your head, I like your pin

So how’s it going to end

If you were made for this

If you were made for this

give me your brand new shining eyes to kiss

here in the outer limits
